Nixie tube
A key figure in the rekindled enthusiasm of the Nixie tube is the Czech manufacturer Dalibor Farny. He started investigating this display technology in 2011. Initially, he had bought some electronic tubes from an old Russian factory and set to work, finding out how they were made and then developing his own manufacturing techniques. Dalibor is one of the most important Nixie pioneers.
After several years of research and development, he was finally able to commercially produce Nixie tubes and thus, a successful business began.
There is a nice video from Dalibor on YouTube demonstrating how the Nixie tubes are made; “The Art of Making a Nixie Tube”.
