NIX1 Hexagon Single Nixie Clock
The Hexagon Single Nixie clock is a clock consisting of one tube. How can you tell the time with just one tube, you wonder.
This clock shows the time by briefly displaying numbers in the order hour-hour / minute-minute in a fixed pattern, each digit being displayed long enough to be read. There is a longer pause between each H-H-M-M sequence which makes it easy to tell the time.
For example, suppose it is a quarter past twelve in the afternoon. Then the following numbers flash: 1 – 2 – 1 – 5 (longer pause) 1 – 2 – 1 – 5 (longer pause), et cetera. Until it is sixteen minutes past 12, the display is: 1 – 2 – 1 – 6 (longer pause), and so on.
The housing is made by the company RM Precision from high-quality aluminium and is finished with a hexagonal design on the surface. Together with the large tube, this gives a beautiful clock that will fit into any interior.

The clock can be set to a 12 or 24-hour mode. The clock has a switch to change between summer and winter time. Setting the time of the clock is easy with the help of 2 buttons on the bottom of the housing. When you lift the clock, you will see these buttons on the bottom. The clock features RGB lighting under the tube which is configurable from a range of 21 color options.

The Nixie Tube
The Nixie tube is a neon filled glass tube. These tubes, were everywhere in the fifties and sixties. They were used in scientific and industrial instruments to represent values and positions. A well-known use of the Nixie tube is the one on Wall Street where, the stock price was displayed using Nixie tubes.
Another known use was for the display of information in nuclear power plants control rooms. There are too many applications to mention.
