Our NIX1 Hexagon 6 Nixie clock is a beautiful mix of old and new. The beautiful design using old techniques of the Nixie tubes and the beautiful contemporary housing, made by RM Precision from Nijverdal. Custom built electronics based on a design by Ian Sparkes and produced by Richard Scales complete the picture.
The clock is equipped with WiFi. With this you can connect the clock to your own wireless network, the clock will then synchronise time from internet based time servers and then runs exactly on time. WiFi settings are stored in non-volatile memory.
The NIX1 Hexagon 6 Nixie clock features six large R|Z568M tubes which display the time as follows:
hour-hour : minute-minute : second-second.
A ‘colon’ has been placed between the hours and minutes and between the minutes and seconds to separate them, so you get a clear time display. In addition, it is possible to display the date after a set time, for example every minute.

The Nixie tube had its heyday from 1955 to the end of the sixties. They were used wherever numbers and also text had to be made visible. However, the development of the LED had begun and y the mid-1970s, the LED had taken the place of the Nixie tube.
